About The Position

LIFT Enrichment is seeking enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools. Since 2010, LIFT Enrichment has taught over 75,000 students and built a team of over 200 Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience is required as training is provided. The position is seasonal and part-time, with a rate of $25/hour. The schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, working with elementary school-aged children (K-8th grade) in Riverside, CA. A typical day involves teaching two workshops, with approximately 5 hours of paid work covering preparation, teaching, and cleanup. Benefits include paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a phone stipend. Grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup are all paid activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of 15–20 students (K-8th grade) through hands-on cooking activities.
  • Teach fun, healthy recipes using provided curriculum.
  • Introduce kids to basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
  • Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.
  • Manage setup, cooking, and cleanup.
  • Grocery shop and prep ingredients as needed.
  • Transport program supplies to the school.
