About The Position

LIFT Enrichment is seeking enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools. Since 2010, LIFT Enrichment has taught over 75,000 students and built a team of over 200 Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience is required as training is provided. The position is seasonal and part-time, with a rate of $25/hour. The schedule is any two days per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The role involves teaching elementary school-aged children (K-8th grade) in Santa Rosa, CA. Paid training and mileage reimbursement are provided. Grocery shopping, preparation, teaching, and cleanup are all paid activities. A typical day includes teaching two workshops, with approximately 5 hours of paid work covering preparation, teaching, and cleanup.

Responsibilities

Lead groups of 15–20 students (K-8th grade) through hands-on cooking activities.
Teach fun, healthy recipes using provided curriculum.
Introduce kids to basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.
Manage setup, cooking, and cleanup.
Grocery shop and prep ingredients as needed.
Transport program supplies to the school.
