About The Position

Compass Collegiate Academy (CCA) is seeking dedicated professionals to support activities in its extended day program. CCA is a new public charter school in Charleston, South Carolina, founded on the belief that all students can achieve at high levels. The school emphasizes a rigorous curriculum, scholar social and emotional growth, high-quality staff, personalized learning, and strong parental involvement. The extended day program aims to provide meaningful activities and a supportive environment for scholars after regular school hours, aligning with CCA's mission and values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in teaching or managing students.
• Enthusiasm for teaching creative subjects.
• Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player.
• Commitment to CCA's mission and values.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with a culturally diverse student body preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transition scholars from dismissal to the after school classroom in accordance with the CCA way.
• Plan meaningful activities, directed by the leadership of the After School Program Coordinator.
• Joyfully engage scholars in activities that build relationships and engage their creativity.
• Distribute snack and ensure adherence to CDC and CCA guidelines.
• Take responsibility for safe and compliant pick up for each scholar in accordance to CCA policies.
• Communicate openly, honestly, regularly, and effectively with families, scholars, and CCA staff.
• Attend school wide functions and community events as requested.
• Perform other duties as required to achieve the school’s mission.
