About The Position

The Child Care Worker provides stability to the children and families of the Therapeutic After School Program (TASP) by providing a flexible response to the clinical and childcare needs of the program. The role involves taking groups of up to 10 youth out for daily activities, by yourself. All of the children are struggling with behavioral and mental health challenges and are at risk of placement outside the home. Our mission is to support them in a preventive and stabilizing capacity. Additionally, many of our kids have a traumatic background and may not respond to traditional methods of childcare work. Because of this, staff should expect to encounter challenging behaviors and be prepared to respond with patience and professionalism.
