About The Position
The After-School Aide supports the care, supervision, and well-being of students participating in the school’s after-school program. The aide helps create a safe, welcoming, and faith-centered environment consistent with the mission and values of the Catholic school.
Requirements
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Dependable, patient, responsible, and able to work well with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school.
- Must successfully complete required background checks and child-safety training.

Responsibilities
- Supervise students before, during, and after scheduled activities.
- Assist with homework, reading, crafts, games, and age-appropriate activities.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment.
- Encourage respectful behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations.
- Support students with transitions, snack time, outdoor play, and dismissal.
- Communicate appropriately with teachers, staff, students, and parents/guardians.
- Assist with setting up, cleaning, and organizing activity areas.
- Support the school’s Catholic identity by modeling kindness, respect, compassion, and service.
- Follow all school safety, supervision, and child-protection policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the program coordinator or school administration.
