About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Group Tutor to join our team at a single, dedicated school site. In this role, you will provide vital academic support to elementary and middle school students (grades K-8) in an engaging, in-person group setting. Our ideal candidate is passionate about youth education, skilled at managing diverse group dynamics, and committed to helping students build confidence and academic strength in a collaborative, after-school environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing academic tutoring, teaching, or similar instructional support (specifically working with elementary and/or middle school-aged youth in group environments).
• Must be available to work strictly in-person at our designated school site.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to connect naturally with children, teenagers, parents, and school staff.
• Must clear FBI-DOJ background check that is taken in-person
• Negative TB Test Result
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting

Nice To Haves

• Current teaching credential or active enrollment in a teacher preparation program is a strong plus.
• Previous tutoring/teaching experience highly preferred
• Ability to make learning fun and interactive, with the focus of the tutoring often determined by student questions and comments

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality academic tutoring and enrichment to small groups of elementary and/or middle school students (grades K-8).
• Implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that reinforce core subjects (reading, writing, and mathematics) tailored to respective grade levels.
• Maintain a positive, organized, and encouraging classroom environment that keeps both young learners and adolescents focused and motivated.
• Monitor student progress, adapt instruction to meet group learning needs, and provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with school-site coordinators and classroom teachers to align tutoring efforts with current school curriculum.
