About The Position

This role is for an Affordable Housing/Tax Credit Community Manager at Western National Group/Western National Property Management. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years supervisory background leading a Leasing, Maintenance, and Grounds team.
  • Current or previous multifamily property management experience.
  • Well versed in all aspects of Affordable Housing, including determining eligibility, income verification, calculating household incomes, completing Tenant Income Certifications, submitting files for approval, and completing compliance reports.
  • Experience in financial statements, budget preparation, and monthly reporting.
  • Knowledge of maintenance operations, landlord tenant law, and fair employment and housing laws.
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Leasing, Maintenance, and Grounds team.
  • Manage daily operations and financial performance of the community.
  • Optimize net operating income.
  • Carry out the objectives of ownership.
  • Determine eligibility for affordable housing programs.
  • Secure 3rd party verifications for income and/or assets.
  • Calculate household incomes according to the HUD Handbook to determine program eligibility.
  • Complete Tenant Income Certification or equivalent documents.
  • Submit files to Compliance Specialist/Bond Administrator for approval.
  • Complete compliance reports as required by the Community’s Regulatory Agreement or as assigned by Corp. Compliance Specialist/Bond Administrator.
  • Manage maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with landlord tenant law and fair employment and housing laws.
