About The Position

Scott Insurance is seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Consultant to join their Affordable Housing team. This role involves serving as a key liaison between clients and their insurance partners, helping clients define and refine insurance requirements, evaluating coverage, and ensuring compliance. The consultant will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations. Initially, the position is on-site, with the potential to move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) after training.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (preferred) in Risk Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance consulting, underwriting or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Affordable housing experience preferred.
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., Copilot) in a professional environment preferred.
  • Experience working with data analysis tools and reporting platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored insurance requirement frameworks.
  • Review and analyze insurance documentation provided by partner organizations.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies and compliance issues in coverage and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all client engagements.
  • Support clients with audits, renewals and ongoing policy updates.
  • Stay current on industry regulations, trends and best practices to inform recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
