About The Position

The Education Specialties Department is seeking talented per-course instructors for its master's and certificate programs in Educational Leadership, Learning Design & Technology, and School Counseling. Courses may be offered on Loyola's Evergreen Campus in Baltimore, Maryland, and can be delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. The department seeks experienced educators, school leaders, and school counselors with a passion for education who can combine real-world experience with theoretical understandings of the field. The Education Specialties Department at Loyola University Maryland is recruiting a pool of persons for possible per-course affiliate teaching positions. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises. Credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available, but no more than one year. After one year, if still interested, applicants must reapply to the current position pool. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. The review of applications is ongoing.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in a field related to the subject they wish to teach.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a teacher, educational leader, or school counselor, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and complete employment eligibility verification by the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Prior experience with online education.
  • Prior experience with specific tools used at Loyola, including Zoom and Moodle.
