About The Position

Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE) is seeking skilled Affiliate Counsellors to join their clinical team. This role involves providing high-quality counselling and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to individuals, couples, families, youth, and children. As an independent contractor, you will deliver clinical services to FSWE and FSEAP clients, focusing on short-term, solution-focused counselling and EAP clinical support. The organization emphasizes empowering individuals and families through counselling, education, and community support, offering a flexible and supportive environment for clinicians.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counselling Psychology
  • Registration in good standing with the OCSWSSW or CRPO
  • Experience providing counselling to individuals, couples, families, youth, and children
  • Strong knowledge of community resources and social service systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, assessment, and therapeutic skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team-based organization

Nice To Haves

  • EAP experience and/or experience supporting seniors and adults with disabilities is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French or Arabic considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Providing short-term, solution-focused counselling and EAP clinical support
  • Conducting assessments and developing goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential client documentation
  • Adhering to FSWE and EAP clinical protocols, standards, and ethical guidelines
