The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. Candidate will work with a team to put together Simulation training events. The position will require utilizing various models/emulators to develop simulations to train the SLS Launch Team. Candidate will be responsible for writing software to configure the models for various simulation events, developing training scenarios, and will also need to interface with the various Ground Flight Application Software teams and subject matter experts to resolve issues and improve the overall simulation. Realistic training simulations are required for personnel in hazardous and critical operations at KSC.
