About The Position

Align Aerospace is seeking a Receiving Inspector for their Chatsworth, CA location. This role is for individuals with 2-3 years of inspection experience who are looking to advance their careers in aerospace quality. Receiving Inspectors at Align Aerospace are decision-makers on the front line of quality, responsible for ensuring that defective products do not enter the system. The position offers hands-on development in aerospace inspection standards, exposure to FAIs, quality systems, and advanced inspection processes, with a clear path for career advancement into roles such as Final Inspector, Quality Specialist, or Audit & Compliance roles.

Requirements

2–3 years of hands-on inspection experience (aerospace, manufacturing, medical, or similar).
Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Ability to read or willingness to quickly improve in blueprints / drawings.
Strong attention to detail and confidence in your decisions.
Comfort working in systems (ERP, Excel, inspection logs).

Nice To Haves

Exposure to GD&T or aerospace standards (AS9100 / ISO).
Experience reviewing certs, traceability, or quality paperwork.
A reputation for being the one who catches what others miss.
Experience using Net-Inspect or other similar inspection systems.
Delegated source inspector credentialing.
SAE or similar inspection certifications.

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming aerospace hardware using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Verify certifications, COCs, and traceability.
Make accept/reject decisions that directly impact quality and customer trust.
Identify nonconforming material and stop it before it moves forward.
Work in SAP and quality systems to document inspections cleanly and accurately.
Partner with warehouse, quality, and operations teams to keep product flowing.
