About The Position

The Aerospace Painter is a full-time, on-site role based in Pensacola, FL. This position is responsible for preparing, masking, and painting aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Daily tasks include surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, and degreasing), mixing and applying primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings, and ensuring proper curing and finish quality. The role also involves inspecting completed work, performing touch-ups, and documenting work in line with quality and safety requirements. The Aerospace Painter works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to maintain high standards of workmanship and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience with aerospace or industrial painting processes, including surface preparation, masking, and application of primers and topcoats.
  • Knowledge of spray equipment operation, basic maintenance of painting tools, and safe handling of paints, solvents, and related materials.
  • Understanding of technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications, with attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the use of PPE and safe work practices in a paint shop environment.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Pensacola, FL, including standing for extended periods and handling physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production, quality, and engineering colleagues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, or a similar precision industry is highly beneficial.
  • Vocational training or certification in industrial or aerospace painting is an advantage.
