About The Position

The Aerospace Mechanical Technician will support the various projects located in New Orleans, LA. This position is focused primarily on aerospace and defense technician assignments.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one; must be a US citizen.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have 2+ years of recent hands-on technical work experience.
  • In lieu of degree: Candidates with 6+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
  • This position requires demonstrated knowledge of mechanical technology.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
  • All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check and some positions require clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.
  • All Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment components devices or systems.
  • Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment.
  • Conducts test and report data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks.
  • Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
