About The Position

The Aerospace Mechanical Technician will support the various projects located in New Orleans, LA. This position is focused primarily on aerospace and defense technician assignments.

Requirements

This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one; must be a US citizen.
Must have a bachelor's degree.
Must have 2+ years of recent hands-on technical work experience.
In lieu of degree: Candidates with 6+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
This position requires demonstrated knowledge of mechanical technology.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check and some positions require clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.
All Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment components devices or systems.
Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operate related equipment.
Conducts test and report data in prescribed format.
Perform calibration and alignment checks.
Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
