Aerospace Mechanical Engineer 3
About The Position
Provides specialized technical assistance to team members for mechanical and structural design tasks. Uses advanced techniques and modified theories to provide technical solutions to difficult engineering problems. Develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. Acts as liaison with representatives outside the assigned group or area. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures work meets customer requirements. Maintains current knowledge of developments in specialty and other related aircraft fields. Uses CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and design activities. Uses Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years in specific technical discipline or ten (10) years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelor's degree.
- Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters, 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
- Proficient in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products for documentation and reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with 3D tubing routing, hydraulics schematics, and system design for hydraulics, waste/water, or landing gear.
- Experience with system design for hydraulics, waste and water, or landing gear.
- Experience with 3D tubing routing and hydraulics schematics.
- Experience with 3D software NX and TeamCenter.
- Advanced degree in engineering related field.
