About The Position
Using state-of-the-art technology, Acromil, LLC in Corona, CA has been a primary supplier to the Commercial and Defense Aerospace Industries of complex structural components and assemblies since 1959. Acromil pursues its vision of excellence by providing the highest quality products, on time and at competitive prices within a culture of integrity and pride. This vision led us to the acquisition of a similar business operation located in Corona, CA in September 2018 for a total footprint of 200,000 square feet. Acromil’s increased capacity will further our goal of being a World Class Supplier. The selected individual will produce components by assembling parts and sub – assemblies. The essential duties will include the following.
Requirements
- Qualified individuals will have at least a GED and 5 years’ experience in the above job responsibilities.
- Experience in reading Aerospace Assembly drawing/CAD-software.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours in a day/night, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, keen eye-hand coordination, able to be trained and certified as a Forklift & Crane Operator.
- Person must be an United States (US) Person as defined by ITAR Regulations – A United States (US) Person is a citizen of the United States, a lawful permanent resident alien of the US, (a "Green Card" holder), a refugee or someone in the USA as a protected political asylee or under amnesty.
Responsibilities
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials
- Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies
- Drilling, riveting, c-sink components in preparation for final assembly operation
- Sub-assembly, fit checking, dis-assembly, deburring and cleaning of components
- Installation of bushings and other parts, using mechanical press and bushing installation tools
- Identification of parts per customer requirements
- Working with various sealants, cleaning compounds, primers and paints
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component with precision measuring tools
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations through FOD prevention techniques and lean manufacturing
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
