About The Position

IESE Solutions is seeking Aerospace Systems Engineers to support the U.S. Space Forces mission of delivering warfighter capability via the Space Systems Command (SSC) directorates. Positions are available in El Segundo, California. This program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have a background with the Space-based and, or Ground Systems including Command & Control services. Team members provide systems engineering development and integration expertise in support of various capabilities that protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government with their architecture and full lifecycle systems engineering processes that enable key systems (e.g., satellites and their ground systems, ground-based space systems and their command and control capabilities) to meet warfighter needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and 14 or more years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with the following: Leading combined hardware/software and, or space/ground integration activities.
  • Experience with the following: Using model-based system engineering tools and methods.
  • Experience with the following: Systems Architecting and lifecycle support.
  • Experience with the following: Implementing agile development techniques.
  • Experience with the following: Applying Agile and/or DevOps development processes.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI

Responsibilities

  • Perform integrated product support, IAW AFI 63-101/20-101 and reference documents and specifications, utilizing but not limited to, the 12 Product Support (IPS) elements.
  • Support the Government with preparing Statement of Work (SOW) proposal instructions and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) for Space Sensing programs Request for Proposals (RFP).
  • Support and/or represent the Product Support Division by assisting in technical evaluations for RFP.
  • Participate in program related Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other programmatic meetings. Provide product support in the development of the Space Development systems and contribute to the development from a product support perspective for any future development.
  • Familiarity of the acquisition/sustainment planning documents including but not limited to; Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), Source of Repair Assignment (SORA), Transition Support Plan (TSP), Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS/BCA) and referenced plans.
  • Support the Government with the management, identification and tracking of Government Furnished Property, to include but not limited to the following tasks: utilization of the Government Furnished Property (GFP) Module located within the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), assist with establishing user access and roles within the GFP Module and establishing Department of Defense Activity Address Codes (DoDAAC) for Contractor locations receiving GFP deliveries and preparation and submittal of Form 8 Availability and Supportability Request Forms to item managers for GFP on contracts as needed.
  • Leverage knowledge and experience with practicing and implementing regulations and policies related to Government property that include but are not limited to the following: FAR 45, FAR 52.245-1, DFARS 245, DoDI 5000.64, DoDI 8320.04, DoDI 4161.02, AFI 63-101/20-101, etc.
  • Use the GFP Module to track and record Contractor reports/receipts of delivered GFP shipments.
  • Ensure contracts are Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) inspection ready by ensuring existence of Key Support Documentation (KSD). Key support documentation consists of the following but is not limited to: a) Contracts with GFP have the compliant GFP Attachment referenced in DFARS PGI 245.103- 72 b) Decisions to provide GFP on contract are documented IAW DFARS PGI 245.103-70 SP-PROCURE Performance Work Statement 37 c) GFP clauses exist on contract d) Contractor receipts of GFP Deliveries are generated and archived in the GFP Module
  • Use knowledge of policies and procedures surrounding the delivery and transfer of Contractor Acquired Property from one contract to another IAW DFARS PGI 245.103-71, DFARS PGI 245.402-71.
