About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking an Aerospace Electronics Technician to support the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced team members and develop expertise in cable and wire harness fabrication, electrical assembly, and ground support equipment subassemblies. The selected candidate will fabricate, assemble, modify, and test cable and harness assemblies while ensuring all work meets applicable engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and program requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with wire harness fabrication, cable and connector assembly, and basic mechanical/electrical assembly.
  • Experience using hand tools, electrical tools, and other equipment used in cable and wire harness production.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of measurements, tolerances, and tool identification.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, work order tracking, and documentation.
  • Basic math skills to support measurements, torque values, and continuity testing.
  • Ability to obtain required program certifications, including those related to bonding, torque application, mate/demate procedures, and harness fabrication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, team-oriented production environment.
  • High School Diploma and 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet contract requirements.
  • Successfully complete a government background investigation and a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or military programs.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD requirements or aerospace wiring standards.
  • Experience working with flight or ground support hardware.
  • Technical training, certifications, or vocational education in electrical assembly, electronics, wiring, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate cable and wire harness assemblies for flight and ground support hardware in accordance with applicable military and aerospace specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and assembly requirements.
  • Determine appropriate tools, materials, dimensions, and assembly methods based on engineering requirements.
  • Perform hands-on electrical and minor mechanical assembly, including repetitive production runs and low-volume prototype work.
  • Perform continuity and functional testing of work-in-process and completed assemblies and accurately document results.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble prototype and production assemblies in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and traceability throughout the assembly process.
  • Follow established safety, quality, configuration management, and production procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deliver high-quality assemblies.
