About The Position

Join a mission-driven organization that supports Civil Air Patrol’s nationwide operations! We’re seeking an Aerospace Education Program Manager to lead the planning, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of Civil Air Patrol’s (CAP) aerospace education and STEM programs. Working with the AE staff, Learning, Cadet Programs (CP), volunteers, educators, industry partners, and other stakeholders, this position aligns AE programs with CAP’s mission and strategic priorities, monitors program performance, strengthens partnerships, identifies opportunities for innovation, and represents CAP at local, regional, and national events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, public administration, nonprofit management, business, project/program management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience managing education, STEM, nonprofit, or related programs and initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop, revise, and maintain aerospace- and career-focused instructional materials and educational resources that support program objectives and organizational priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and organizational priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing program budgets and resources.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in education, STEM, public administration, nonprofit management, business, project/program management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience managing education, STEM, nonprofit, or related programs and initiatives, including experience coordinating cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and organizational priorities in a complex, stakeholder-driven environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor communications for educators, volunteers, internal teams, partners, and leadership audiences.
  • Experience planning, managing, and monitoring program budgets and resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage assigned aerospace education and STEM programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance and recommend improvements through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and continuous evaluation.
  • Coordinate educational events, workshops, conferences, training opportunities, and outreach activities that support organizational objectives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that communicate program performance, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and customer support related to assigned aerospace education programs.
