As Coulson Aviation continues to grow, we are looking for an Aerospace Designer to join our Design team in Port Alberni, BC. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to develop structural and mechanical systems that enhance aircraft performance, reliability, and operational capabilities.

Requirements

• A degree in Aerospace Engineering.
• At least three years of aerospace design experience.
• At least three years of experience using ENOVIA and CATIA V5.
• Experience with wiring installations and avionics mounting.
• Knowledge of structural clipping techniques and their effect on aircraft integrity.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, sheet-metal design, and machined components.
• Knowledge of aircraft design inertias for loading.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and integrate structural and mechanical systems using CATIA V5.
• Support structural modifications associated with avionics and electrical upgrades.
• Develop mechanical installations and repairs.
• Prepare design documentation in accordance with applicable aerospace regulations and airworthiness standards.
• Collaborate with avionics, electrical, and other teams to support aircraft modifications.
• Prepare reports and technical data packages for design approval and certification.
• Provide ongoing technical support for new and existing designs and products.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
