About The Position

Procurement professionals at Gulfstream are not simply buying parts—they are helping build highly engineered aircraft, shaping supplier strategy, and influencing the success of critical aerospace programs. This role is primarily focused on purchase order execution and supplier coordination for components such as Engines, Avionics, Flight Controls, Composites, Metallics, Data Systems, Landing Gear, Interiors, Cabin Equipment, Hardware, and Consumables. The Corporate Aerospace Buyer will handle lower-complexity production and operational materials, coordinating supplier deliveries with internal customer demand and ensuring supplier alignment with agreed-upon obligations. The role involves negotiating pricing and delivery within established guidelines, monitoring supplier performance, maintaining procurement records, and developing expertise within specific commodities. The business impact of this role ensures material availability and supplier responsiveness, supporting production schedules and operational efficiency through execution and supplier management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of procurement, supply chain or related experience is required.
  • Experience soliciting supplier quotations, evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders, and managing supplier performance.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms while supporting quality and operational objectives.
  • 2 years Procurement, supply chain or related experience.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Master's Degree may offset 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates Supplier deliveries with internal customer demand
  • Ensures Supplier alignment with agreed upon obligations (contracts)
  • Negotiates pricing and delivery within established guidelines
  • Monitors Supplier quality, delivery and cost performance
  • Maintains procurement records and audit compliance
  • Develops expertise within specific commodities
  • Develops sources of supply and obtains information from suppliers concerning product and/or service specifications, price, delivery dates, etc. and ensures all applicable data is current at supplier.
  • Solicits quotes, conducts bid evaluations, evaluates costs, negotiates optimum delivery schedules and ensures the best combination of price, quantity discount, product quality, standard terms and conditions, and where appropriate, supports the establishment of long-term agreements such as Master Orders and Blanket Purchase Agreements.
  • Prepares definitive purchase orders, including terms and conditions, makes award, administers contracts with suppliers within budgetary limitations, and ensures schedules are met.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits and reporting requirements.
  • Assists in planning and reviewing the work of Procurement Spec, where appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
