About The Position

Join a high-precision aerospace manufacturing team where you’ll finish large aircraft components to rigorous aerospace and military specifications. In this contract role, you’ll travel as needed to support programs, bringing expert prep, masking, mixing, and application skills to every assignment.

Requirements

  • Hands‑on background as an Aircraft, Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial Painter.
  • Proficiency with HVLP and/or air‑assisted spray systems.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing orders, paint specifications, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of mixing practices, viscosity checks, and coating thickness verification.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE for extended periods.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a quality‑first mindset.
  • Capability to perform physically active work, including moving around large components throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other high‑precision finishing environments.
  • Familiarity with aluminized primers is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, mask, tape, plug, and finish aircraft structures and assemblies with precision.
  • Apply primer and topcoat systems using air‑assisted and HVLP spray equipment to meet spec.
  • Mix coatings and validate viscosity against manufacturing specs and work instructions.
  • Complete stenciling work and occasional roll‑applied finishes as required.
  • Measure film build with digital gauges and verify compliance with aerospace and mil‑spec criteria.
  • Tune spray settings to suit environmental conditions (temperature and humidity).
  • Safely move and position large components throughout each stage of finishing.
  • Use respirators, protective suits, and related equipment in full compliance with safety procedures.
  • Keep the booth and surrounding area orderly to support quality and production throughput.
