The Assembler works according to task time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products. The individual is experienced, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level.

Requirements

  • Fine hand motor skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skill both written and verbal.
  • Self- motivated and quick learner.
  • Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of process specifications.
  • Bonding experience.
  • Ability to utilize measuring equipment, including scales and calipers.
  • Small Tools

Responsibilities

  • Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
  • Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
  • Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
  • May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.
