About The Position

The Boeing Company Integrated Vehicle Systems team is seeking an Aerodynamics Test Engineer, to join our Aerosciences laboratory team in Huntington Beach, CA. The selected Aerodynamics and Test Engineer will support wind tunnel and water tunnel operations at the NAART Lab, where a range of concepts from exploratory configurations to trouble-shooting current, in-service configurations are tested at the Lab. The NAART Lab generates predictions of aerodynamic forces & moments, aerodynamic pressures, and on- and off-body flow visualization. The selected candidate will assist in the acquisition and dissemination of the aerodynamic data using sub-scale models in the wind tunnel and water tunnel, and assist with the interpretation of these data. The selected candidate will participate in diagnosing and recommendation for solutions for test instrumentation hardware and software in the NAART Lab. The selected candidate will regularly perform and support requirement-based engineering design cycles to design, fabricate and assemble mechanical and actuation systems for prototype bench, wind-tunnel and water tunnel demonstrations. Most of this work will be performed in the NAART laboratory and therefore requires experience working in laboratory environments. Experience in CAD, rapid prototyping and the ability to plan and run experiments, acquire data and write reports are essential for this position.
