Williams International is actively searching for an Aerodynamics Engineer who wants to apply their turbomachinery aerodynamics expertise in a cross-functional manner that extends beyond computation. This role is in a collaborative environment incorporating all aspects of development and production to support our existing engines and growing product line. Responsibilities include delivering aerodynamic designs and analyses of various turbomachinery flow path components, working with our expert in-house manufacturing team to ensure a producible design, and supporting engine and subsystem testing to provide design validation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of cutting-edge commercial and military gas turbine hardware with a high degree of ownership for aerodynamic performance throughout the product life cycle. Additionally, the Lead Engineer I - Aerodynamics will: Plan, support, and document tests including component and stage rigs to map performance and surge/stall characteristics, as well as engine systems-level tests Deliver timely aerodynamic dispositions to production support requests on discrepant hardware and cost reduction initiatives Train, mentor, and develop earlier-career aerodynamics engineers Develop analytical tools and methods to drive accuracy, innovation, and efficiency while meeting cost and schedule commitments Communicate analysis results and recommendations to internal and external customers, in both verbal presentation and written report formats
