About The Position

Parsons is looking for an AEGIS Weapon System Senior System Analyst to join their team. This role involves working with a team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers, and contract staff to deliver missile defense capability to the Fleet. The position is part of a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists focused on advancing the nation's defense capabilities.

Requirements

US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of relevant experience
12+ years of related professional experience (if holding a Master's degree)
Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
Ability to apply knowledge to solve engineering/scientific problems
Ability to provide program oversight and recommendations for resolution of complex technical issues to Senior Leadership within the Program office and MDA Leadership

Nice To Haves

Active TS/SCI Clearance
Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
Experience with Weapon System Development
Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

Assessing the degree to which identified systems operations and technical requirements are being met and identifying areas for modernization for next-generation missile defense systems.
Assessing complete Fleet-based mission defense capability in collaboration with various Sea-based Weapons Systems Program Offices.
Assessing and identifying gaps in current baseline technical and operational capabilities, as well as areas for potential modernization, reporting to Chief Engineers and the Chief System Engineer.
Managing all issues concerning assigned baselines for a baseline manager.
Resolving complex technical issues and providing potential solutions to senior members of Program Offices, the Missile Defense Agency, and NAVSEA regarding ship and weapons system modernization.
