About The Position

T-Solutions is seeking a full-time AEGIS Test Director Specialist to oversee the requirements of the Statement of Work at our Wallops Island, Virginia station. The Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island requires support in management, engineering, operations, and technical expertise for the activation, operation, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs. This support is crucial for all Naval Sea Systems Command and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems missions and projects conducted at SCSC. SCSC offers live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric maritime environment, aimed at developing, testing, evaluating, and conducting fleet operations and training for the warfighter.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least eight years’ experience with AEGIS Combat System baseline configurations, to include supporting elements and equipment, communication systems, and interdependencies and interfaces associated with these systems.
  • Must have at least three years’ experience leading technicians and conducting system level troubleshooting with familiarity with the various types of site switches and their capability.
  • Must have at least five years of experience setting up and configuring combat system baselines to support AEGIS or BMD mission events.
  • Must have at least three years’ experience in loading and maintaining program/project documentation on Combat Systems to include: loading computer programs and equipment utilizing established procedures, verify system operations, set up and collect data recording/data extraction, document observed issues/problems while operating combat system suites.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor or manager when not in the office.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree in technical or computer related discipline could substitute for two years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired; however, candidates eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in various types of electronic systems such as C4I, Combat Systems, Communication Systems, etc.
  • Duties include system design, integration, modification, testing, installation engineering, and design engineering, developing and reviewing equipment test plans and procedures, conducting analyses, analyzing test results, and recommending design changes to bring systems into compliance with design/performance specifications.
  • Adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • Coordinates, computes, or synthesizes engineering or technical data.
  • Uses prescribed mathematical formulae and/or models to calculate measures of performance characteristics for electronic systems.
  • Supervises technical staff assigned to project.
  • Duties include the training of project personnel in the procedures and approaches available for the work effort.
