About The Position

Parsons is looking for an AEGIS Engineer to join their team. This role involves being part of a mission-oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers, and contract staff focused on delivering missile defense capability to the Fleet. The position is also part of a team of highly skilled engineers and scientists. The engineer will execute strategic planning, procurement, and integration of Aegis Weapon System equipment for the Aegis Guam System (AGS), and be responsible for its integration as an element within the Defense of Guam system of systems. Key responsibilities include leading coordination for integration, test, and deployment, managing the AGS Sites Equipment List (SEL), schedules, and identifying risks. The role also involves combining technical engineering rigor with project schedules to improve the system, spearheading technical interchange meetings, conducting risk assessments for hardware, analyzing courses of action for equipment and facility design, and providing equipment placement verification.

Requirements

US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty
5+ years of related professional experience
Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
Aegis Weapon System Experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field and 7+ years of relevant experience
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities

Execute the strategic planning, procurement, and integration of all Aegis Weapon System equipment required for the Aegis Guam System (AGS).
Responsible for integration and support as an element within the Defense of Guam system of systems.
Lead the coordination for integration, test, and deployment, from what was the Flight Experiment Mission-02 (FEM-02) Initial Deployment Aegis Guam System (IDAGS) to what is now required as an operational installation configuration, and the upcoming installation of the more complex AGS Initial Operational Capability (IOC) with equipment dispersed across the entirety of the island of Guam.
Manage the very complex AGS Sites Equipment List (SEL), as well as schedules and help identify risks.
Combine technical engineering rigor with project schedules to help identify ways to improve the system as a whole.
Spearhead technical interchange meetings to ensure AGS equipment is properly integrated into site facilities, conduct risk assessments for hardware and analyze courses of action for equipment and facility design, and provide equipment placement verification for optimal employment.
