About The Position

Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Harris County are available for the Evening Reporting Center. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. Position offers weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage, and activity reimbursement. Availability: Flexible non-traditional hours - may require evenings and weekends

Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
Prior Experience working with at-risk youth and families in a community, school, and home setting
Experience working in community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and using computers
Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field is preferred.
Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is preferred.
