Advocate Support - Part Time - Saturday and Sunday from 7am-3pm
About The Position
The Spring is hiring a part time Advocate Support for Saturday and Sunday from 7am-3pm. The Spring is a faith-based nonprofit serving those who have experienced domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking and are searching for safety, advocacy, and restoration. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Advocate Support staff member to assist survivors residing in our crisis shelter program. This role involves providing direct support services, ensuring the smooth operation of the shelter, and helping maintain a safe, respectful, and client-centered environment. You will play a key role in offering advocacy, resources, and trauma-informed care.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check.
- Any job offer will be based on the results of the background testing.
- A felony does not automatically exclude you from consideration.
Responsibilities
- Answer crisis line calls and provide safety planning, crisis intervention, and intake services.
- Support day-to-day shelter operations, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and secure environment.
- Provide direct services including referrals, emergency assistance, and advocacy.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client services and interactions
- Support meal preparation, transportation, and monitoring guest activity as needed.
- Be available to respond to emergencies and occasional additional shifts as needed
