About The Position

The Advisory Services Intern will gain exposure to Stifel's advisory programs and how the group supports financial advisors, branches, and clients. Working alongside experienced team members, the intern will learn about program management, advisor support, business operations, analytics, compliance considerations, and emerging technology. The internship includes hands-on assignments, job shadowing, program rotations, and a summer-long group project. The intern will assist with research, reporting, process improvement, and special initiatives while developing a broader understanding of the financial services industry.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or another related field.
• Curiosity about finance, investing, wealth management, business operations, data analytics, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in understanding what data can reveal.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate with teammates.
• A positive, proactive mindset and willingness to learn, ask questions, receive feedback, and share ideas.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for school, work, or projects.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of at least one year of college coursework.
• Interest in learning Microsoft Copilot, Thomson One, BETA, reporting tools, and other wealth management applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research, reporting, quality reviews, and special projects to enhance Advisory programs and services.
• Review business and program data, identify trends, and help translate findings into insights for the team and leadership.
• Participate in job shadowing, program rotations, and learning opportunities across multiple Advisory teams.
• Explore how Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools can improve efficiency, communication, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a summer-long project and present recommendations to Advisory leadership.
