About The Position

At Elanco, a global animal health company, the Advisor, US Launch Excellence & Global PCAP Lead guides and mentors a multidisciplinary team responsible for advancing commercial success. The role provides strategic oversight for US product launch readiness and the global Product Change Alignment Process (PCAP), ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, efficient prioritization of geographic expansions, and speed to market that maximizes value creation.

The position oversees, coaches, and develops a high-performing team responsible for executing US product launches and managing the global PCAP process. It serves as a liaison to senior stakeholders, directs cross-functional governance, removes roadblocks, and reports launch status and PCAP metrics. The role also drives continuous improvement and strategic evolution of the Launch Excellence and PCAP frameworks.

The role supervises four employees: a Senior Consultant, Launch Leader, US PH Vet; a Senior Associate Manager, Launch Leader, US PH OTV; a Senior Associate Manager, Launch Leader, US Farm Animal; and a Senior Analyst, PCAP & Portfolio Optimization (US-based). It requires 10% domestic and international travel for team meetings and to facilitate product launches. The employee must live within commuting distance of the assigned Elanco office and meet a requirement to work from the office 30 days per quarter.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or product-launch-related roles.
• At least 5 years of experience applying veterinary product knowledge and clinical knowledge of animal health, disease treatment, and veterinary practice environments to product commercialization.
• At least 5 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical or veterinary sciences industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in program management and strategic process improvement.
• At least 5 years of experience guiding, coaching, and developing teams in a matrix environment, coupled with product launch and program management.
• At least 5 years of cross-functional launch-related expertise in Manufacturing & Quality, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, and commercial matters.
• At least 5 years of experience identifying interdependencies and mitigating related product-launch risks.
• PMP certification.
• Able to travel 10% domestically and internationally for team meetings and to facilitate product launches.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor a multidisciplinary team responsible for advancing Elanco’s commercial success.
• Serve as a liaison to senior stakeholders and guide cross-functional teams in bringing pipeline assets to market.
• Manage product changes, including the global geographic expansion strategy.
• Oversee, coach, and develop the team responsible for US product launches and the global PCAP process.
• Provide strategic oversight for US launch readiness initiatives, aligning them with commercial objectives and optimizing speed to market.
• Direct the global Product Change Alignment Process, including prioritizing geographic expansions and ensuring the framework operates efficiently.
• Drive continuous improvement and strategic evolution of the Launch Excellence and PCAP frameworks.
• Manage cross-functional governance, influence key decisions, remove roadblocks, and report launch status and PCAP metrics to senior stakeholders.
