About The Position

The Advisor, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for end-to-end sourcing for assigned indirect categories. The role develops relationships with category business partners to understand business sourcing needs, and executes competitive bids, negotiations, contracting processes, and technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services. It uses spend analytics and market intelligence to identify cost optimization opportunities. Strategic Sourcing - Indirect develops and executes strategies to source indirect goods and services, analyzes supplier options to achieve best value, manages supplier relationships and contract compliance, maximizes financial deliverables, mitigates risk, and may use procurement systems to execute purchase orders and resolve technical issues. The broader Global Sourcing function builds strategic supplier partnerships that create enterprise value through innovation, best cost, and competitive advantage.

Requirements

Effective communication in English and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate successfully with all levels of the organization and external supplier partners.
Strong financial acumen.
Strong project and process management skills.
Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
3 or more years of experience in a related field, including strategic sourcing (indirect), category management, supplier management, and negotiation.
Knowledge of enterprise software such as SAP and SAP Ariba.

Responsibilities

Lead category sourcing for assigned indirect categories, which may include Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Energy, and Facilities.
Provide primary sourcing business partner support to key stakeholders within assigned indirect categories.
Work closely with indirect suppliers to source goods and services.
Initiate, negotiate, and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) events within assigned indirect categories.
Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups within assigned categories.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable contract and purchasing terms.
Use spend analytics and market intelligence to identify cost optimization opportunities.
