About The Position

As the Advisor, Strategic Alliances, you’ll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will play a critical role in advancing Save the Children’s mission by strengthening high-impact partnerships that expand our ability to serve children and families. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will support the development, execution, and stewardship of strategic alliances that drive impact, sustainability, and growth. Through strong project management, relationship management, and knowledge systems, this role helps ensure partnerships are well aligned, effectively governed, and translated into meaningful outcomes for children.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting strategic partnerships or cross-sector relationships, serving as a primary point of contact, coordinating internal stakeholders and supporting senior leader engagement
  • Proven project management and analytical skills, with ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data, track risks and deliverables, and ensure alignment with organizational strategy and timelines
  • Demonstrated experience with knowledge management producing insights for leadership decision-making, and improving processes that enhance visibility, accountability, and impact across partnership portfolios
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Engaging in partnership outreach to connect with and build relationships with organizations that complement our mission and objectives.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for designated strategic partnerships, maintaining structured communication workflows, and monitoring overall relationship health.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholder discussions to evaluate partnership viability, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent information flow across teams.
  • Facilitate communication between partnership leads, fundraising teams, and program divisions so partnership insights inform funding strategies and engagement plans.
  • Support leadership engagement by maintaining a clear understanding of partner priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide analytical and strategic support to the Head of Strategic Alliances in developing and executing partnership and acquisition strategies.
  • Support partnership due diligence and integration planning by compiling data, synthesizing insights, and tracking cross functional deliverables and timelines.
  • Manage discrete partnership related projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and internal processes.
  • Track action items, decisions, and follow-up activities to ensure momentum and accountability across partnership initiatives.
  • Manage and improve tools and processes that support partnership tracking, including competitive analysis, financial sustainability assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and effective use of a CRM or partnership tracking system to improve visibility into partnership pipelines, status, and history.
  • Ensure that partnership data, insights, and documentation are accurate, current, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Synthesize partnership data and trends to support strategic planning, portfolio reviews, and leadership decision making.
  • Prepare high-quality materials—including partner profiles, strategy briefs, talking points, and external facing documents—for leadership and donor engagement.
  • Provide ad hoc executive and operational support related to strategic alliance activities, including meeting preparation and follow-up.
  • Contribute to cross team coordination, continuous improvement efforts, and other duties as needed to advance strategic alliance objectives.
