About The Position

The Advisor, Employee Engagement is a leadership opportunity that plays a vital role in helping shape a positive employee experience, creating opportunities for employees to feel valued, heard, celebrated, and motivated, ultimately contributing to personal and organizational success. Responsible for leading corporate employee engagement programs, which include managing the Your Voice and Employee Recognition programs.

Requirements

  • University degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field with at least 5 years of work related experience in employee feedback, employee recognition or communications or an equivalent combination of eduation/experience.
  • Specialized knowledge of employee feedback systems, tools and techniques.
  • Specialized knowledge of employee recognition systems, tools and techniques.
  • Advanced communication skills with demonstrated ability to craft clear and audience-specific messaging.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using project management and change management principles.
  • Experience and ability to conceptualize, develop recommendations to support decision making, and structure complex problems.
  • Exposure to best practices, benchmarking, or culture transformation work and evolving or improving programs over time.
  • Ability to develop coalitions, partnerships or collaborative relationships with internal and external contacts to achieve program and project objectives and ensure they are effectively communicated to stakeholders.
  • Experience and ability in working independently and have a strong business sense to meet the expectations of the position.
  • Effective supervisory skills.
  • Strong research skills and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead work packages for employee engagement programs including the Your Voice and Peel Celebrates Employee Recognition programs.
  • Analyze employee survey results and other relevant data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing the employee experience and inform business decisions.
  • Responsible for project implementation to ensure that the project is implemented within scope, on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for preparing a detailed project plan or project definition for each approved initiative.
  • Responsible for managing the project resources required to achieving each task and project goals.
  • Manages problem resolution process ensuring problems do not impede timely project and/or operational deliverables and priorities.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of best practices, research, and industry trends in employee engagement to ensure the organization continues to foster a positive employee experience and workplace culture.
  • Develop effective and open communication strategies and channels to keep employees across the organization informed about Human Resources services and engaged in ongoing programming.
  • Supervise and guide a highly effective team, providing direction, motivation coaching, and development support to enhance skills, team dynamics, and employee engagement.
  • Research and develop complex reports (including Council reports), and maintain records and documentation related to employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and program outcomes.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Human Resources leaders, executive leaders, and other internal stakeholders across the organization to align employee engagement efforts with section, division and department business objectives.
  • Build vendor relationships to deliver on employee engagement program deliverables.
