Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain donor relationships
  • Experience with donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising strategy
  • Comfortable with cold calling and high-volume outreach
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and listening skills
  • Ability to understand and follow complex instructions
  • Knowledge of data systems and data processing applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Donor-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing one-to-one donor discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to retain and grow leadership annual giving donors for St. Jude.
  • Activates, supports, and retains donor relationships through personalized communications, strategic outreach, and relationship management to drive revenue.
  • Collaborates with territory staff to engage donors locally and works with individual giving teams to build pipelines to planned, major, and principal gifts.
  • Conducts high-volume outreach to identify donors ready for deeper engagement, including major gifts or estate giving.
  • This is a fast-paced role requiring cold calling, strong relationship-building skills, adaptability, and participation in team feedback and learning.
  • Meet and exceed donor outreach and engagement goals set by leadership
  • Manage outreach to 1,500 -2,000 donors annually
  • Follow established cadences of outreach to conduct discovery focused outreach
  • Maintain accurate donor records and document all interactions according to cadence process
  • Track and analyze donor data to guide outreach strategies
  • Develop and execute donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
  • Determine next best steps in donor engagement based on experience and strategy
  • Serve as liaison with program owners across fundraising divisions
  • Partner with internal teams to support next steps and outcomes
