About The Position

Merrill Wealth Management is a leading provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services. This role is part of the centralized segment of the Advisor Development Program, where the journey begins with obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66) through dedicated classes. Once licensed, trainees learn foundational advisor skills, including client acquisition, relationship management, and providing holistic financial advice and solutions. Financial Solutions Advisors in this centralized segment are phone-based licensed advisors who offer clients comprehensive financial advice and guidance, identifying product and service solutions for investment, savings, and liability management. They apply knowledge of investments and financial markets to client needs and align Merrill and Bank of America products. The program provides training and guidance to progress into a Merrill Financial Advisor role, working with affluent and high net worth clients to identify needs, develop relationships, review investment goals, and prepare recommendations. Successful FSAs typically advance to Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA) within the program, supported by the Academy with dedicated programs, tools, and resources. Requirements

  • Apply relevant regulatory due diligence in daily activities and creating long-term client strategies.
  • Obtain your Security Industry Essentials (SIE) within 60 days of being hired.
  • Obtain your Series 7 & 66 within 120 Days (63 & 65 accepted, in lieu of 66).
  • Subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registering with the federal registry system and remaining in good standing, and submitting to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66).
  • Acquire, build and manage client relationships.
  • Consider a client’s complex financial picture and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Provide clients with holistic financial advice and guidance by identifying broader product and service solutions that meet their investment, savings and liability management solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of investments and financial markets and apply key principles appropriate to the individual client's investment needs.
  • Align Merrill and Bank of America products and services where appropriate.
  • Work with both affluent and high net worth clients, identifying needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing investment recommendations.
  • Use a defined consultative approach with clients to systematically identify client needs and appropriate solutions.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence and recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients by providing exceptional client care with industry leading products, services, and education.
