About The Position

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Impact, the incumbent is responsible for collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to co-create and implement corporate strategies that ensure initiatives are equitable, accessible to all, and aligned with Telefilm’s values and corporate priorities. This includes identifying and addressing systemic barriers to inclusion, ensuring information is available in accessible and bilingual formats, and supporting organizational goals with a strong focus on social equity and linguistic diversity. The Advisor, Corporate impact – EDIA supports the development, implementation, and corporate-level monitoring of equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, Indigenous reconciliation and Official Languages priorities across the organization. The role provides advice, coaching, education, and analytical support to foster an inclusive, barrier-free workplace aligned with organizational values, corporate vision, and legal obligations. The Advisor, Corporate impact – EDIA is an internal-facing senior advisor within the Corporate Impact Sector, working in close partnership with internal teams to jointly design and advance corporate initiatives. The role provides strategic and analytical insights as subject-matter expert to support integrated organizational alignment and shared ownership of EDIA priorities. This person supports the implementation of Telefilm’s EDIA Plan and contributes to ongoing monitoring, acting as a connector to support integrated progress. The Advisor, Corporate impact – EDIA reports to and supports the Director, Corporate Impact, contributing to the delivery of Corporate Impact Sector priorities, and works in support of the Corporate Impact and EDIA Steering Committee. The Advisor will also work closely with the Sustainability, ESG Advisor, ensuring alignment across priorities, including related accessibility commitments, and strengthening transversal coordination and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, Equity Studies and or any other related discipline or combination of equivalent and relevant experience.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in EDIA, Official Languages, Reconciliation reporting, or a combination, ideally within strategic, cross-functional, or organizational transformation roles.
  • Strong project management skills, plus the ability to support cross sector collaboration and mobilize stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to guide committees and facilitate complex, multi stakeholder processes.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both official languages (CBC level).

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support internal departmental leads in identifying EDIA-related initiatives. Recommend actions and plans; Provide senior advisory services to strengthen EDIA practices across the organization. Recommend strategic directions; Identify misalignment or risk areas.
  • Work closely with program teams to support and deploy corporate impact and EDIA initiatives. Decide on implementation approaches; Recommend adjustments to programs. Support the collaborative design and delivery of EDIA plan deliverables by working jointly with internal teams. Recommends priorities and timelines; decides on coordination methods. Partner with the Sustainability & ESG Advisor to ensure coherence. Recommend alignment strategies; Identify conflicts or gaps.
  • Support governance of the EDIA plan (monitoring, accountability, coordination). Collaborate with and support the Director, Corporate Impact on reporting to the Steering Committee. Make recommendations; Identify critical issues or delays.
  • Contribute to mobilizing internal sectors around the EDIA plan. Support best practices on engagement tactics; Work with the Director on recommending organization-wide actions. Facilitate dialogue spaces, and strategic conversations. Provide recommendations on facilitation approach; Escalate sensitive or high-risk topics; Act as project facilitator for EDIA initiatives. Monitor timelines and coordination.
  • Contribute to ideas for staff training related to EDIA commitments.
  • Provide strategic advice and support on Official Languages to internal teams and leadership.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organization-wide strategies and action plans.
  • Promote the integration of bilingual and inclusive practices across programs and operations.
  • Identify barriers and recommend solutions to support the coexistence and inclusion of both official languages.
  • Monitor trends, requirements, progress and support reporting to senior management and government bodies.
