About The Position

Our Denver office has an exciting opportunity for an Advice & Counsel Employment Attorney to join our growing group. We welcome experienced applicants at various levels, including Associate or Of Counsel, with flexibility regarding Shareholder track status, remote or in-office work, and part-time or full-time availability. This role focuses on providing advice and counsel to management-side clients on a wide range of employment law matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado, maintaining active and good standing status throughout employment.
  • Satisfy all continuing legal education and licensure requirements necessary to remain eligible to practice law in Colorado.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Substantial experience in advising companies in the areas of disability accommodation, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force (WARN, severance agreements), incentive pay plans, restrictive covenants, employee discipline, and terminations.
  • Strong passion for employment law.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Prioritize responsiveness.
  • Ability to provide practical and business-oriented legal advice.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of Employment Litigation Defense experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day employment law advice to clients on workplace policies, compliance, and risk management.
  • Performing legal research and drafting memoranda and other legal documents.
  • Advising companies in the areas of disability accommodation, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force (WARN, severance agreements), incentive pay plans, restrictive covenants, employee discipline, and terminations.
