About The Position

WCBI-TV/DT is seeking a Strategic Market Consultant to develop and cultivate new business in the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas. This role involves growing existing business by selling marketing solutions that produce measurable results across WCBI (CBS), FOX, My Mississippi, local events, and online digital marketing with a full-service digital agency. The Strategic Marketing Consultant will utilize a suite of effective digital marketing and Broadcast TV products and services, working with the sales department to achieve management-set goals and strategies. This is a base + commission position where the individual determines their growth through their successes. It is not a remote/hybrid job; daily presence at the station in Columbus, MS is expected. This is not a desk job, requiring daily client visits to discuss business growth strategies and demonstrate how Television and Digital products can solve client problems. Media sales experience is not required, and recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. Pre-employment background checks are required. Requirements

• Must be driven to succeed.
• Experience in dealing with people and building professional relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• PowerPoint, Word and Excel proficiency highly desirable.
• Be a quick learner in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to ask questions and overcome objections.
• Must be in the station (located in Columbus, MS) daily.
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
