About The Position

The Adventure Guide helps provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging guest experience across SKYLAKE Adventures attractions, including the three-story-high SKY Trails course. The role involves guiding guests through obstacles, enforcing participation requirements and attraction rules, inspecting safety equipment, monitoring course and environmental conditions, and reporting hazards or maintenance needs. Guides also complete required training, support opening and closing checklists, clean and maintain attractions, and work across attractions as coverage needs change. The position may involve working outdoors in a water-based environment and staying active for extended periods. It is classified as exempt, and employment is at-will.

Requirements

• Comfort working at attraction heights up to 75 feet.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with guests and team members.
• Professional, energetic, self-motivated, positive approach to work.
• Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in colder outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest safety by enforcing attraction rules, conducting safety briefings, and monitoring attraction activities.
• Complete mandatory attractions and safety training.
• Fit and inspect harnesses and safety equipment in accordance with SKYLAKE procedures.
• Provide friendly, engaging guest service.
• Guide and encourage guests as they navigate obstacles and complete the SKY Trails course.
• Monitor attraction conditions and equipment, and promptly report hazards, defects, and maintenance needs.
• Maintain awareness of guest safety, course activity, and changing environmental conditions.
• Enforce SKY Trails height, weight, age, and other participation requirements.
• Support daily opening, closing, cleaning, and general attraction maintenance checklists.
• Work across a variety of attractions as coverage needs change.
