About The Position
Adventure Ed club is an extension of the Adventure Ed class offered through the PE department. This club is open to both experienced and inexperienced climbers and the teachers work with students in groups based on their abilities. The sponsors of this club are highly trained in both technical and safety aspects of climbing.
Requirements
- Experience leading or teaching students.
- Certified in the follow: BAI Certification (Basic Archery Instructor)
- Level 1 Certification (High Ropes)-Minimally
- Climbing Wall Instructor Certification (CWI)-Minimally
- Extensive experience in teaching students to climb safely
- Ability to recruit and maintain diverse membership.
- Experience in the areas of the club.
- Ability to meet sponsor expectations as stated in Student Activities Sponsor Handbook.
- Organized and have a positive attitude.
- Collaborative.
Responsibilities
- Oversee students at all meetings.
- Attend Sponsor Meetings and meet expectations given by the Student Activities Director.
Benefits
- Per Faculty Senate contract, level 6 stipend, 0.50 FTE - $1,290.97
