About The Position

The Advancement Director at St. Anne School, under the Diocese of Allentown, is responsible for directing fundraising, marketing, and advancement programs. This role encompasses managing the annual appeal, annual auction, elementary school bonding programs, alumni relations, and the school's endowment fund. The position also involves re-branding the school, establishing an advertising campaign, creating an online giving program via the school website, and maintaining donor and alumni databases. The Advancement Director will liaise with the Diocese of Allentown Office of Stewardship and Development, oversee a Planned Giving program, manage grant writing, and administer the school's scholarship program. Continuous learning of advancement techniques to grow fundraising opportunities is expected, along with performing other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications or a related field.
  • Experience in marketing/ development field preferably in a school environment and in a supervisory or Management capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques.
  • Proficiency in word processing, database management, as well as other business and office equipment.
  • Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid donors and diverse groups.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of integrity, loyalty, dependability, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must be able to work independently and proficiently.

  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create an advancement program that will include the re-branding of St. Anne School.
  • Establish an advertising campaign for promotion of the school.
  • Utilize the school website to create an on-line giving program.
  • Create and maintain a donor database.
  • Create and maintain an alumni database to be utilized for annual giving efforts.
  • Maintain contact with the Diocese of Allentown Office of Stewardship and Development.
  • Create and oversee a Planned Giving program.
  • Oversee Grant Writing.
  • Oversee the scholarship program for the school.
  • Keep abreast of the latest in advancement techniques and utilize the same in growing fundraising opportunities.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principal.
