About The Position

St. Anne School, a part of the Diocese of Allentown, is seeking an Advancement Director to lead its fundraising, marketing, and advancement programs. This role is crucial for growing fundraising opportunities and managing key initiatives such as the annual appeal, auction, elementary school bonding programs, alumni relations, and the school's endowment fund. The Advancement Director will also be responsible for re-branding the school and establishing an advertising campaign to promote its mission and offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications or a related field.
  • Experience in marketing/ development field preferably in a school environment and in a supervisory or Management capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques.
  • Proficiency in word processing, database management, as well as other business and office equipment.
  • Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid donors and diverse groups.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of integrity, loyalty, dependability, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must be able to work independently and proficiently.

  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create an advancement program that will include the re-branding of St. Anne School.
  • Establish an advertising campaign for promotion of the school.
  • Utilize the school website to create an on-line giving program.
  • Create and maintain a donor database.
  • Create and maintain an alumni database to be utilized for annual giving efforts.
  • Maintain contact with the Diocese of Allentown Office of Stewardship and Development.
  • Create and oversee a Planned Giving program.
  • Oversee Grant Writing.
  • Oversee the scholarship program for the school.
  • Keep abreast of the latest in advancement techniques and utilize the same in growing fundraising opportunities.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Principal.
