Advanced Training Instructor - Electrical Safety
About The Position
Performs instructor-led courses for Ring Power employees and customers, developing and updating training materials on technical and industry-specific subject matter. Ensures viable workspace within classroom, electric, and engine labs, and maintains related assets. Travels regionally to deliver or attend training and conferences, and voluntarily participates in customer overseas training requests. Updates and maintains training records in EDGE and applicable manufacturer databases. Assists field personnel on diagnostic issues when requested. Attends specific training courses or completes certifications as required to deliver course content and maintain instructor qualifications. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Formal Education High School diploma or GED
- 5-6 years experience
- Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
- Computer skills, Microsoft power point, Excel and Windows based operating system.
- Communication and presentation skills, ability to deliver content effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Professional licensing in a related field (Master/License accredited through state).
- Certification in related field.
- Applicable manufacturer’s factory training, technical training (electronic or diesel college, Think Big, CIAP), knowledge of NGEA (Next Generation Electrical Architecture), Tier 4 emissions, or air conditioning certification, MACS.
Responsibilities
- Performs instructor led courses for Ring Power employees and Ring Power customers.
- Develops and updates training materials on technical and industry specific subject matter.
- Ensures viable work space within classroom, electric and engine labs.
- Updates, maintains and repairs assets relating to instructor lead courses when necessary.
- Travels regionally to deliver or attends instructor led training and conferences.
- Voluntarily participates in customer overseas training requests.
- Updates and maintains training records for Ring Power participants and customers in EDGE and applicable manufacturer database.
- Assists field personnel on diagnostic issues whenever possible at the request of the technical coordinator.
- Attends specific training courses or completes certifications and curriculum as required to deliver course content as an instructor.
- Attains and updates all training credentials required by manufacturer to maintain status as qualification for technical instructor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
