Advanced Test Engineer | SE&I Test Analyst

General Dynamics Mission Systems•Huntsville, AL
•Onsite

About The Position

The Advanced Test Engineer will represent SE&IT in support of MDA/DE-SEA (Enterprise Analysis & Technical Innovation) and its role within the MDA Joint Analysis Team. The position focuses on analyzing Missile Defense System (MDS) test data, primarily from MDA Ground Test (HWIL) events, and may also support MDA flight tests, real-world events, and Golden Dome for America tests. The engineer will develop approaches and tools for system- and element-level performance analysis and provide analysis results and inputs to official SEA test reports. Analysts may also present findings during mission data reviews. The engineer will work with systems engineering teams, test organizations, warfighters, and element program representatives to ensure tests meet their technical intent, assess system capabilities, and characterize system behavior. The work includes evaluating system-level MDS performance in ground and flight tests, with a focus on the MDS kill chain and its sensors, battle management, warfighter interactions, engagement coordination, and interceptors. The role requires analytical discipline, the ability to work independently and with geographically distributed teams, and an interest in learning MDS elements and applying element-level understanding to system-level analysis. This position is fully on-site at the Boeing JetPlex facility. A Department of Defense Secret clearance is required at hire, and U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
