About The Position

From indoor warehouses and distribution centers to construction sites and port facilities. This position is for a Forklift Mechanic located in the City of Industry, closer to the Whitter area. Keeps work and supply areas clean and orderly, and follows all safety rules and procedures
Required to work overtime if needed

Nice To Haves

One-year certificate or associate’s degree from a community college or technical school
Minimum five plus years of CAT dealer experience and ten years’ heavy equipment industry experience or equivalent education and experience

Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and repair forklifts and farm equipment
Repair of forklifts primarily branded Cat, Mitsubishi, Jungheinrich, Manitou, Kalmar, Harlo, Genie, and other Allied equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines
Disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble engines, transmission, differential, clutch, brake, electrical system, fuel system, and any other part related to material handling or farm equipment
Perform scheduled equipment service ranging from minor to major service
Use all tools of the trade, including precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines, overhead hoists and power tools in adjusting and repairs
Complete accurately all required internal and customer driven paperwork, including work orders, safety inspections, timesheets
Ensure company equipment and tools comply with safety and cleanliness standards
Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills
