About The Position

As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of sophisticated systems that drive innovation and efficiency within the aerospace industry. You will contribute to cutting-edge projects that enhance safety, performance, and technological advancement in aerospace solutions. You will support our Air Revitalization Systems team in Glendale, AZ. In this role you will contribute to the design, build, integration, and qualification of a new product implementing Honeywell’s Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS) technology. In addition, you’ll support systems engineering activities that span requirements development, system architecture, verification and validation (V&V), and cross-functional coordination. This role involves close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, chemical, and test engineering teams, as well as scientists advancing the underlying technology. Honeywell’s Space Engineering organization develops advanced technologies that enable human spaceflight missions, deep-space exploration, and next-generation spacecraft systems. You will report directly to our Sr Systems Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Glendale, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in engineering with a focus on aerospace applications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting within complex aerospace environments.
  • Proficiency with aerospace systems design tools and methodologies, including hardware-software integration and networked systems.
  • Experience with compliance standards and safety regulations relevant to aerospace systems engineering.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience with a Master’s degree
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in aerospace system development and project leadership.
  • Knowledge of emerging aerospace technologies and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation.
