About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking Systems Engineers to support a late August/early September start for Regional Strike Programs. At GDMS, Systems Engineers can advance into technical leadership, program management, or advanced engineering specialties. Leadership programs, rotational assignments, and career development pathways ensure opportunities to expand skills and grow careers. As a Systems Engineer on RSP, you'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering hardware, software, and systems solutions. This role may focus on Test & Integration Engineering (hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing), Requirements Engineering (documenting, analyzing, and managing system requirements), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (system modeling, simulations, and design analysis), or Hardware-Systems Engineering (design, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • 5 years professional experience with 2+ years in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering or Hardware Systems work (Master's degree may substitute for experience).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems.
  • Knowledge of systems design, MBSE modeling, and simulation.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cameo, or similar).
  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Document, review, and manage system requirements using requirements management tools and MBSE.
  • Participate in design reviews, verification, and validation activities.
