About The Position

As an Advanced Software Development Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Designing, developing, testing, and supporting custom software applications for process development environments, with a focus on scalable solutions that can transition into production manufacturing. Collaborating closely with R&D, process development, manufacturing, automation, quality, and IT teams to understand technical needs and translate them into practical software tools and systems. Building applications that support process monitoring, production data collection, workflow execution, reporting, visualization, and decision-making in manufacturing and development settings. Developing software solutions that interface directly with PLCs, data historians, IoT platforms, and other connected manufacturing systems. Working hands-on with manufacturing and laboratory hardware to understand equipment functionality, system constraints, data flows, and integration requirements. Creating and enhancing software for HMI, edge compute, and cloud/hybrid environments to support real-time operations, analytics, and continuous improvement. Supporting the development of dashboards, reporting tools, analytics applications, and AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve process understanding, quality, and operational performance. Participating in software architecture, coding, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support for digital manufacturing applications. Troubleshooting issues across software, hardware, interfaces, and process systems to identify root causes and implement robust corrective actions. Applying sound software engineering practices including version control, code review, testing, maintainability, and structured documentation. Supporting the transition of software solutions from prototype and pilot implementations into scalable manufacturing use cases. Considering cybersecurity, reliability, and operational requirements when developing and deploying software in connected manufacturing environments. Creating technical documentation, user instructions, and support materials to enable sustainable implementation and knowledge transfer. Contributing to a collaborative, technically rigorous environment focused on innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
